December 2010 - Time to recap a great year we just had. The band went to Scotland and performed at the Marie Currie Cancer fundraiser in Edinburgh. From there we competed at the World Championships of Piping. What an incredible experience and what a great trip we had. Everyone wants to go back next year....but we have so many good things planned for back here in the USA
A First Place Win
St. Ann's Pipe Sergeant Mike Philbin took FIRST Place in Grade 3 Piobaireachd at the Capital District Games in Altamont NY.Mike performed a very well played and BOLD - "Flaming Wrath of Squinting Patrick" for his judge. Congratulations to Mike for his very fine showing !!
We Struck Gold !
Linda Zdepski in her very first Tenor Drum competition simply blew them away with an Above Grade Level (AGL) performance and a First Place Win at the Southern Maryland Celtic Festival.
Beth Bandy took a 3rd place for her Grade 3 Piobaireachd solo competition.
Congratulations to them both - keep up the good work !!
